well if there's a way for you to get your approved labor certification doc, or even the copy of the filed labor application; then definitely get it.
The labor app has the exact job description too. So if you do use portability (ac-21) it'll help to match it with the job specs of the new position.

Read it properly before you jump. When there is no I-485 filed, where is the AC21 coming into the picture.

The use of H1b is extensive just to promote false news....
H1b and Greencards are used in the same context. Many 'technology' magazines don't like either GC's or H1b's.
GC process is a 'fair' atleast when it comes to prevailing wage and so they quote 'H1b' quite often to build up their case.

Hello,
I am really having sleepless nights over this, thinking obsessively over and over.
Here is my situation:
I am working for a consulting company A since Feb 2003, and they filed for my GC in May 2003 in Ohio for a position. Even though I been working for the same company, I am working for a different position in California, and I never worked for the position in OHIO that is on GC Labor.
Now, its been two years I filed my 485, got EAD and everything. After 180 days of 485, my employer asked me to work on EAD (to avoid extending H-1). So now I am officially on EAD and used AP once.
At this time, my contract is coming to an end, can I look for another full time in CA area and use Ac-21 to port.? Is there any issue because even though I am working for the sponsoring employer, but not for the position on GC labor?
Or shall I not file AC-21, take a different job and come back to the sponsoring employer and work for that position upon GC approval? Or is that out of question because I already used EAD that means automatic invocation of AC-21?
Please suggest. Thanks

Just fyi to be cautious.
There was a CBP Admission Review Squad at Washinton Dulles Airport on 11th evening. They sent all passengers from multiple flights to secondary check where they had to wait for over 4 hours. They were instances were people were not admitted or given just 1 month entry with specific instructions written on I94 that they cannot apply for EOS or AOS. This is for visiting Visa.

I believe you can change your appointment 2 times ( or probably three times only ). You should be able to change your appointment to Delhi if dates becomes available and you are within the limit of number of changes of appointments allowed.

US rolls out new online visa form in India

NEW DELHI - With the demand for US visas surging by the day, the US embassy and its consulates in India have introduced a new online non-immigrant visa (NIV) application form to cut out needless delays.
The DS-160 form will be online on the website of the US embassy from Jan 19. For all NIV visa appointments starting Feb 1, applicants will need to fill out the DS-160 form, the US embassy said here Wednesday while announcing the introduction of the new form.
The new form, that leverages new technologies, is expected to cut processing delays as applications could be pre-processed and pre-screened before an applicants interview.
Applicants will continue to complete visa application forms online, as they did previously with the Electronic Visa Application Form, the embassy said.
The demand for American visas has been escalating in India over the years.
The four US consulates in the country had processed 725,000 visas in 2007 - a 58 percent increase from 2006.
India is among the top 10 countries sending visitors to the US.

Optimistic: EB2 India will be current in November 2006
Pessimistic: EB2 India will slow down due to large number of cases during 2003-2005

I am on H1 now and my H1 B approval also had my middle name as initial.
Why are you worried? Dropping middle name in North American naming conventions is common, but that should not matter.

Thanks a lot for your prompt reply. I have not applied for 140 or 485 yet. Without applying for these there is no way we can apply for EAD right?
